A potter puts the finishing touches on a pot as she sits in her booth at an art show. The painting is a testament to the fact that an artist's creations live on even when the artist is no longer able to create.
Although I was born to be an artist and majored in art in college, it wasn't until the end of 2001 that I put down my foot and picked up my art brush. I painted and entered a watercolor for a local exhibit and competition. I won Best of Show which allowed me to have a solo exhibit in which I managed to attract a large crowd (for a small town) and enjoyed the thrill of selling numerous paintings opening night. I knew I was where I was supposed to be in life. As thrilling as that was, it is still no match for the feeling I get while painting a new piece and watching it come to life on the canvas.
